Springs Works
Tying manual
Manual operation consisting in attaching using bonds the vine shoots chosen to the size for fructification on iron wire tended and envisaged for this purpose, in order to guide the vegetation on the axis of the row and with a given and constant height. The facility of this operation depends largely on the operation of size of the vine. It is the second operation of organization of the future vegetation.
The Weeding
The grassy cover of the vineyard reduces the sunning. The latter thus should be limited, especially under the rows of vine. It is also necessary to limit the contribution of weed killer in the grounds, factor of water pollution and worm’s mortality. The choice on the exploitation is thus a chemical light weeding under the row and an adapted control of grass between the rows. We consider in the near future a complete work of the ground under the row for a complete control of grass on this level using plough adapted for this purpose and to allow the total stop of weed killer.
Disbudding
The size of the vine is not enough in the selection to the bits to be preserved. The vine (put in suffering by the drastic size) tends to remake to grow growths on the level of the stock and frames. These bits in excess must be withdrawn manually on each vine. Once again, the cleanliness of the size limits the work of disbudding. It is also possible to carry out in the event of large outputs on certain pieces, a fruit-bearing disbudding. In this case, one eliminates from the bits with fruits to limit the number of bunches to the vintage.
